Northern Avenger
(Sudden Death)
A seminal Canadian punk band still fighting the enemy (corporations, cops jackbooted fascists), D.O.A. D.I.Y.s it with Northern Avenger, releasing the record on Joey "Shithead" Keithley's Sudden Death Records. As expected there's a serious political bent taken on tunes like "Golden State," "Police Brutality," and "Crossfire" with Keithley indicted California, cops and crack pot wars but there's also a wee bit of Tesco Vee DNA cursin' through his veins as evident by the humor in songs like "Devil's Speedway," ‘Donnybrook," and "California Hardcore Last Chance." 30 years going and D.O.A. are still rockin' and ready to kick somebody who says punk is dead.
