Dueling Videos: Lykke Li TV/Live

As eagerly as we awaited the current North American tour from songbird Lykke Li (we'll see her this Saturday), we had to admit we were disappointed by her appearance the other night, Nov. 11, on the Letterman show. Doing "Silent My Song" she seemed unusually stiff, her exaggerated gestures self-conscious and her vocals restrained.


Take a look at that, below, and then look at a version of "I Follow Rivers" Nov. 5 at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin. The latter, audience shot in HD, will need some volume adjustment on your part, but she looks vastly more at ease on the live stage compared to playing before a TV audience.
