Celebrates local non-profit Revision International...

Happening this Saturday, Oct. 22 in Denver, From the Ground Up is a celebration of local non-profit, Revision International, planting seeds of sustainable community development in Denver's Westword neighborhood. The event starts at 6:00 pm at Battery 621, in Denver's Santa Fe Art District.
DJ Cavem starts off the night spinning while attendees enjoy a silent auction, and selections of organic gourmet food and beverages. Following an award ceremony honoring local leaders of sustainability, at 9:00 pm the Filthy Children will kick off the late night music, followed by Human Agency and Pa Kow's By All Means Band.

About Revision International: It is a nonprofit organization based in Denver, CO, that initiates community-led sustainability projects, primarily in low-income communities. Revision is currently focused on empowering people, bringing economic opportunities through community food projects and education on the value of healthy eating. To date, Revision has helped 87 families start their own organic backyard garden, and started an urban farm that helps provide job and training opportunities, as well as healthy food. Revision is also helping low-income communities become more energy conscience with a new program that will help over 500 families save money on their utility bills by reducing energy usage by 15%.
