7th Annual Dfest Lineup Announced

Oklahoma-based festival boasts 30 headliners, including The Roots, The Apples in Stereo, Helmet and Ghostland Observatory.

OK. We give. It used to be so simple to track summer festivals. You had your Lollapaloozas, your failed Woodstock revivals and punk-only Warped Tours. Now, many cities are following Austin’s lead with South by Southwest-styled events. Oklahoma got in on the action in seven years ago with DFest, now one of the Midwest’s largest music festivals and conference. The two-day Tulsa gig features nearly 30 headlining acts, 120 unsigned bands from 17 states and three countries. Dfest 2008 runs July 25-26 and includes such luminaries as The Roots, The Apples in Stereo, Helmet, Ghostland Observatory and Zappa Plays Zappa.

Tickets are $30-$45 good for both days of the festival. Conference badges run $50-150.
