Freedom rings out all across the land. Swine flu recipients need not apply...

You know that we here at BLURT are all about Chuck Prophet, from his groundbreaking proto-Americana work back in the day with Green On Red all the way through his celebrated solo career. And whether checking in on the songwriter's efforts to evade the swine flu or getting updated on the progress with his new Yep Roc album ¡Let Freedom Ring!, due out in late October, we keep our lens trained on the man, the artist, the rocker. (Chuck, don't be paranoid. The courts have decreed we have to remain at least 30 feet away at all times.)

 

Which is all just a long winded introduction to telling you about his video trailer for the album. Check it out below. As we put it in our upcoming review of the album, "Part narrative, part confessional, #¡Let Freedom Ring!# is the sound of an artist at the top of his game."
