Zombies, Yardbirds, S. Davis Group Tour US

Rock Royalty Tour to run into July.

Headed to American shores is the next (or is is original?) British Invasion. The "Rock Royalty" tour 2009 is headlined by the Zombies, featuring original members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent. Joining Blunstone and Argent are long-time bandmates Jim Rodford on bass (formerly of Argent and The Kinks), Keith Airey on guitar, and Steve Rodford on drums. The Zombies are celebrating the release of the Odessey & Oracle 40^th Anniversary Concert CD, available world-wide on iTunes and physically in the UK, Scandinavia, Japan, and select countries. A DVD of the concert is also available as an import, and there are plans to release it here in the States in 2009. The group will be playing their hits ("She's Not There," "Time of the Season,"  "Tell Her No"), songs from keyboardist/songwriter Rod Argent's ‘70s hits ("Hold Your Head Up") and - of course  -  selections from Odessey & Oracle.  Zombies' frontman Colin Blunstone also has a 2009 solo CD, Ghost Of You & Me, available as an import or through iTunes.

Joining the Zombies are the Spencer Davis Group, known for their ‘60s Brit-soul hits "I'm a Man," "Gimme Some Lovin'" and others, and pioneering rockers The Yardbirds.  Legendary as a proving ground for guitarists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page,  this incarnation of the band features original members Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja.
