Vinyl Saturday Set for June 20

Kinda like Record Store Day, come to think of it.

Great news for all you folks who turned out for Record Store Day back in April: the same folks behind the annual event have organized Vinyl Saturday, which will take place at many (if not most) of the same indie stores who participated in Record Store Day.

 

As both Pitchfork and Each Note Secure are reporting, there will be some exclusive goodies being offered on Vinyl Saturday. To wit:

 

  • A Wilco 7-inch for "You Never Know" b/w "Unlikely Japan" in a limited editon of 3800
  • A Green Day 7-inch for "Know Your Enemy" b/w "Hearts Collide," 5000 numbered copies
  • The latest in a Modest Mouse series of 45s, "Autumn Beds" b/w "Whale Song"
  • An advance peek at the Pete Yorn/Scarlett Johanssen album featuring a duet on one side and a Yorn demo on the flip

 

Other stuff rumored to be incoming includes Al Green, Earth, Patterson Hood, the Woggles, Those Darlins and Wolves In The Throne Room. Sign up to the Record Store Day Twitter for updates.
