Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band Is Back

New sound, appearances set for this month.

Just when we thought we'd heard the last from Yoko Ono, word has come that the Plastic Ono Band will release Don't Stop Me! EP on June 9 via iTunes.

 

In addition, the widow of John Lennon and mother of Sean Lennon will receive the Golden Lion achievement award this week at the Venice Biennale on June 6 and perform (we think!) at the Meltdown Festival, Royal Festival Hall in London on June 14.

 

"At 76 years young, Yoko continues to kick ass -- and is preparing to release Don't Stop Me!, a career-defining album made with her new Plastic Ono Band. The record is a gorgeous, mind-melting blend of styles, restating and sharpening themes while plunging into the always-mysterious future."
