Mars Volta Offers 15 mins of Fame

Host a MV advance listening party the way you wanna host it.

Here's your chance to grab that elusive 15 minutes of fame - or Almost Famous. The Mars Volta has announced plans to have 10-15 fans to host exclusive listenings in their homes for the band's new album, Octahedron in advance of its June 23 release on Warner Bros.

 

If you want in, you have to submit "an entry vying to host one of the listening parties," say the PR folks. Entries can be submitted in any form from YouTube videos, illustrations, writings, to anything that expresses why the entrant deserves to be a "Host." "Official Hosts" will have their party pics posted on The Mars Volta's website. One host and a guest will also be awarded a chance to see The Mars Volta perform anywhere in the US. Entries must be submitted by June 3rd to OctahedronParty@gmail.com
