To coincide with the fall release of fifth studio album.

Billboard.com is reporting that Massive Attack has plans to launch a "huge" world tour to coincide with the release of their next album, tentatively titled Weather Underground, due in October on Virgin. 40 dates have been confirmed in the UK and Europe, and according to the band's Robert "3D" Del Naja, the tour will ultimately rack up more than 150 nights once Asia and America are figured in to the equation.
"We'll do the U.K., Europe, then take Christmas off, and then go to Asia, into America and then we'll roll out to the festivals," he told Billboard. "When you get on a roll it's such a laugh. For Meltdown [Festival] last year we ended up doing about 40 shows all around eastern and southern Europe, it was really good fun. So I can imagine for this we'll end up doing maybe 150 gigs."
Several new songs were debuted in concert last year, among them "Red Light" and "All I Want," which Del Naja said were "well received. I think things are changing, I don't think people expect to hear an album they know and then go and hear it live, I think people are much more intelligent than that."
The last Massive Attack album was 2003's 100th Window.
