No Depression Fest Set: I&Wine, Welch, More

Happening July 1 in Seattle and featuring a who's-who of Americana.

It's the inaugural No Depression festival, and if you don't know what the words "No Depression" refer to then you've clearly been imprisoned in an Iranian jail for a good while. Don't despair though: upon your release, you can head over to Seattle on Saturday, July 1, where Iron & Wine and Gillian Welch are heading up the all-day event hosted by, you guessed it, the good folks at No Depression magazine (visit the venerable Americana magazine on the web these days at NoDepression.com).

 

The full lineup: Gillian Welch, Iron & Wine, Patterson Hood & the Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, a Seattle roots-music all-star revue, and Zee Avi.

 

It'll take place at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Wash., near Seattle. Tickets are priced at $45 and they go on sale this Friday, May 15, via Ticketbastard or by phone at 206-628-0888. For more details, go HERE.
