Silver Apples w/Rare Tour + Recs

Simeon Coxe’s vaunted Silver Apples — the legendary synth/punk precursors that young hipsters like to namedrop but precious few can actually name a songtitle (much less cite musical specifics, details, bio, etc.) — commenced a rare U.S. tour this week, and you can see the remaining dates below as it swings from the Midwest to the east and down the seaboard and then over to Memphis and New Orleans (one of Coxe’s favorite cities, incidentally).  Opening act is Loto Ball Show.

We are advised that the Apples will be offering not one but two new records while on tour: the vinyl only Selections, Apples essentials remastered, on Chicken Coop, and Gremlins, an EP on Gifted Children. You can get more details at the official Silver Apples website.
