Pop quiz: What do you get when you have guest artists Ryan Adams, Mark Ronson, Sean Lennon and Wilco's Pat Sansone on your CD? In the case of American singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Richard Swift, it's magic.
Swift's next CD/LP - The Atlantic Ocean - is ready for an April 7 release and it's a lush musical banquet of danceable sound that moves from Doo-Wop to pop to ragtime to Motown with plenty of synthesizers sprinkled throughout.
So what does all that mean? Swift classifies the sound as "Prince sitting in on John Lennon's Plastic Ono sessions."
Check
out the sound yourself on Swift's Web site, where he has a video for "Lady
Luck" posted -- Swift
