Black Kids For Fall Tour
06/16/2008

Aiming to get the “Partie” started with debut album in July.
By Fred Mills
Black Kids, currently in the middle of a UK/Euro tour, will mount a full North American tour starting in September (there will be a handful of US dates in late July/early August). By then their Bernard Butler-produced debut album Partie Traumatic (Columbia) will have been in stores for a couple of months — the Florida band’s eagerly awaited platter drops July 22.
According to the group’s handlers, “Kicking off with a much lauded performance at Coachella, the buzzed about 5-piece brought their infectious tunes and boundless energy to a run of blistering live performances. With only a self-released EP under their belt – 2007's Wizard Of Ahhs - the band met with a rapturous reception everywhere they went, garnering particularly delighted audience participation with their debut single "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You". Produced by Bernard Butler, Partie Traumatic is a perfect pop album, filled with smart lyrics, driving rhythms, and the kinds of songs destined for summer anthem status.
Well, nothing’s exactly perfect, but it is a pretty dang fun tune. You can see the group’s video for “Boyfriend” HERE and make up your own mind.
