WHILE YOU WERE OUT…
Jan 04, 2012
In which we let you know some of what's been happening around here and in the music world - news, features, MP3s, videos - over Christmas and New Year's.
BY THEE EDITORS
So - how were your holidays, Katy Perry and Russell Brand? Or Sinead O'Connor and... hmm, can't remember what her soon-to-be ex-husband's name is? Or all you BLURT readers? We'll tell you how ours were - exciting! No, that's not true; they were kinda dull, as there wasn't a whole heck of a lot going on (although we did get staff iPads for Christmas, which was pretty neat, and we're hard at work on a Blurt app already). But we stayed open for business just the same, as there were a few ripples here and there in the music biz that seemed worth documenting. Lots we missed, or were just too lazy to write about too. Since a good number of you were away from your desks over last couple of weeks - as evidenced by a lot of vacation responses we got back from emails, as well as a marked decline in Twitter activity (not at the BLURT Twitter account, though) and more than a handful of seemingly inactive blogs - we thought now would be a good time to offer up a reprise of some of what did happen. See below, and welcome to 2012....
