Being the kind of woman who loves lash extensions, I usually prefer wearing eyelash extensions. However, I decided a few months ago that it was time to let my lashes take some time to breathe and get healthy on their own terms. After hearing some great things from my circle of friends about the benefits of using lash products from Younique, I decided to check out their MOODSTRUCK products, specifically the Esteem Lash Serum and the 4D Mascara.
IN NEED OF HELP
My lashes were tired and on the shorter side. They were also brittle, and frankly, exhausted from supporting extensions for so long. Upon purchasing the Younique lash serum and Younique 4D mascara from a friend, I was anxious to try them immediately. I really was impressed with the packaging and enjoyed that putting on the serum was so easy with the applicator, which is just like a mascara wand. I began applying the Younique lash serum both during the mornings and evenings to my clean eyelashes and was happy that I could just pop on the serum in the morning before my normal makeup routine. For best results, I did normally wait 10 to 15 minutes before applying makeup in the morning after the serum, but this is optional and allowed me time to sit with a cup of coffee while the formula conditioned my lashes.
GREAT FOR SENSITIVE EYES
As a contact lens wearer and someone with rather sensitive eyes, I can say that some products irritate my eyes more than others. I have tried a variety of lash-enhancing products, and many make my eyes red and itchy. However, the ingredients in these products did not cause any sensitivity in my eyes and didn’t flake. I liked how my eyes didn’t water and get annoyed like they do with normal mascara (one of the reasons I went to extensions).
LASHES FOR DAYS
To give Younique’s line of products a full test, the friend who sold me my lash serum recommended that I also try Younique 4D fiber mascara for my lashes. I tend to have very straight lashes, and generally find that point straight down and do not curl very well. After several weeks of using the Younique 4D fiber mascara, I can report that I really enjoy it. The product is water-resistant, which is wonderful for a busy day. With my Younique 4D mascara, I am seeing a lot of curl and volume, which is a fantastic change from my normal lash consistency.
TAKING THE TIME FOR MY LASHES
With my busy life, it gets to be a lot for me to take the time to spend on self-care. However, with the results I’ve seen from myself and other friends who are Younique users, it’s worth it when I think about how taking 10 to 15 minutes a day for our lashes does so much for them. Life gets busy around my house, and that month was no exception, but after looking in the mirror one morning after those four weeks quickly passed, I was shocked. New hairs in my lashes were sprouting, length in existing lashes was up significantly, and my eyelashes were healthier than they had felt in years.
