The Washington, DC-based intellectual property law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP has announced the release of Interlude, a charity compilation benefiting MusiCares® (www.musicares.org), an organization that provides financial, medical and personal needs of musicians. The CD will feature songs by 12 different artists, including Eleni Mandell (“My Twin”), Kelly Willis (“You and Your Sister”), Chuck Prophet (the heretofore unreleased “Bring On The Love”) and Ana Egge (“Apple Tree”). From the press release:
For the last 10 years Finnegan has hosted an impressive selection of critically acclaimed musical artists to perform at its annual International Trademark Association (INTA) reception. This year, Finnegan chose to celebrate ten years of amazing performances with a commemorative CD that would help support musicians in need through a donation to the MusiCares Foundation. All of the musicians on the CD have donated their music.
Through a donation to MusiCares, Finnegan and its artist “alumni” are supporting musicians and helping to ensure that those in the music industry have access to a support system. MusiCares is a charitable foundation of The Recording Academy®, which supports the music community and honors artists' achievements through the annual GRAMMY Awards.
Downloads will be available on June 23rd at www.Finnegan.com.
